Margot Robbie's brother teases her over Oscars loss

Brad Goreski guessed it right when he predicted Robbie would wear Chanel on the red carpet tonight. "I don't want the Oscars dress to ever be a joke".

But Cameron couldn't keep up his act of sibling rivalry long, and almost immediately posted another message of love for the star, who stunned in Chanel Haute Couture for the Hollywood event.

The Australian actress attended the Academy Awards on Sunday night (04Mar18), where she was nominated for Best Actress for her portrayal of disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding in movie I, Tonya.

Despite her fame and excellence in Hollywood, Robbie revealed that her family was not always supportive of her career.

"I genuinely thought we were these people and we were off the set, running down the street screaming at each other and the cameras are running after us", she told Grazia.

When Robbie got the role she put in the time to learn to skate, and performed all of the on-ice moves herself. "And that went on for years", Robbie said.

"I am so happy that I have a job to go to after something like this because it can go to your head", she said. This brilliant actress was nominated for the Best Actress in Lead Role category at the prestigious event and even though she didn't take the trophy for that home, she did win the internet's best seamstress award.

But Robbie continued to pursue her passion.

She also paid tribute to her co-star Margot Robbie, director Craig Gillespie and writer Steven Rogers, as well as "the cast and crew and bird that elevated by work".

Donning this corset-bodiced, tulip-skirted crisp white Chanel dress, there was a risk that she might have failed to satisfy expectations for an Academy Awards showstopper, but thankfully the embellishment draped across her shoulders gave the audience that little bit of added sparkle.

"They're impressed for like five seconds", she tells British Vogue.
