Marvel Releases New Character Posters in Celebration of Cinematic Universe's 10th Anniversary

The recently-launched super hero movie Black Panther, which is the latest addition to the famed Marvel Cinematic Universe, hit the screens on February 16 and has already earned more than Rs 50 crore in India alone, having grossed Rs 13.75 crore in the opening weekend itself. While it's become the norm, as opposed to an exception, for a studio to internationally stagger the release of a blockbuster, Marvel might have been wary about the unavoidable spread of spoilers.

In a series of tweets between Marvel Studios and Robert Downey Jr. on Twitter, the official Marvel Studios Twitter revealed the new release date to Downey Jr's request.

Sound the klaxon and prepare to redraw any Marvel movie marathon plans: Avengers: Infinity War will release worldwide on Friday, April 27th.

We don't yet know the price or the release date of the Infinity Gauntlet, but collectors should expect the replica to drop sometime in 2019.

Obviously that could mean anything or nothing at all, but Marvel could do with another Avengers: Infinity War trailer and some brand new footage.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Pratt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Gwyneth Paltrow, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Tom Hiddleston, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel, amongst others.

But Downey had some other "friends" in mind when he asked, "The entire world?" Giving back to kids is the most impactful role you can play", comments Marvel Studios' Black Panther star, Chadwick Boseman. "Marvel: "The Universe Unites and #HeroActs is just a fun way to support a noble cause while entertaining kids and fans around the globe".

In fact, the Marvel sequel won't face any major competition until May 18, when its own Deadpool sequel arrives from 20th Century Fox, followed by the May 25 debut of Disney's Solo: A Star Wars Story. With all eyes on Wakanda, it's a smart move to remind audiences that they can see T'Challa and company again in just two months. Are we going to see some new additions to the Infinity War cast?

Captain America and Iron Man will reunite even earlier.
