Anushka, Virat hit the dance floor at their wedding reception

Newlyweds Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli don't seem to catch a break.

The reception was mainly attended by family members, close relatives and friends amid high security. Prime Minister Narendra Modi too graced the occasion to bless the newlyweds, who looked absolutely gorgeous together. But the highlight of the party was only when Virat joined the pop singer during one of the hit tracks and sang a line or two looking at the love of his life - Anushka. Adorned with Sabyasachi classics, which focused more on preserving the traditional hues of red and gold, Anushka and Virat were, of course, the center of all media attention.

Cricketers Suresh Raina, Gautam Gambhir and Shikhar Dawan were also in attendance for the glitzy event.

The designer shared a wonderful pictured of the couple from their wedding reception and captioned it as, "I don't think Indian brides feel complete without wearing the colour red in one of their functions".

What's a Punjabi wedding without Punjab's very own Gurdas Maan gracing the couple? Sharma's look was designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who also created her couture for the wedding day. She chose to wear heritage uncut diamond choker and jhumkas from the Sabyasachi Bridal Jewelry collection.

The reception venue was Durba Hall, Taj Diplomatic Enclave in New Delhi. "The red bindi, the sindoor and the mogras in her hair just made the look more potent and powerful".

Kohli on the other hand complemented her in black textured bandhgala with silk kurta and hand embroidered pashmina shawl.

The couple are expected to throw another reception in Mumbai on 26 December.
