OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition Launched in India at Rs. 38999

Yesterday they released the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition and immediately made it available for sale exclusively on Amazon. Additionally, Axis Bank debit and credit cards users are eligible for a Rs. 1,500 instant discount on purchase of any OnePlus device including the 5T Star Wars limited edition. Coincidentally, the company also marked its four-year anniversary in India.

Launched in partnership with science-fiction film "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", the smartphone's design has been inspired by planet "Crait" from the movie. In fact, in the launch event itself the screening of The Last Jedi will be carried out and the fans who have bought the tickets last week could enjoy it after the event.

Coming to price, OnePlus has chose to raise the cost of the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition by Rs 1000. OnePlus said that this is a limited run in India and a few Nordic countries. It also retains the edge-to-edge 6-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 for an immersive viewing. A set of Star Wars wallpapers are pre-installed on the phone, but there's very little to prevent someone with a regular OnePlus 5T - or any other smartphone, for that matter - to get those wallpapers on their phone.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor with up to 2.45 GHz clock speed. The volume rockers, SIM ejector and the power button are coloured in black.

The new Star Wars edition phone is priced at Rs. 38,999, a thousand rupees costlier than the normal edition with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage.

While Brits, Europeans and our cousins across the pond are likely to miss out, OnePlus 5T owners can still add the force to their phone in one particular way. Inside the product box, you will find a rugged case with the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition, which looks identical to that of the Kylo Ren's helmet. The Star Wars Edition stands out with a black front, white sides and white rear, a prominent red alert slider, a ceramic fingerprint sensor, and a Star Wars logo on the back. The phone is also coming to Europ.

OnePlus will showcase the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition at nine pop-up stores across India on December 16 and 17.
