Las Vegas police release image of gunman who robbed Bellagio

The Las Vegas police department confirmed that a robbery took place at the Bellagio on Tuesday afternoon and said they were looking for a armed man driving a Silver Chevrolet Cruze.

Metro said the robbery happened near the poker cage in the casino area around 3:47 p.m. The employees complied with the suspect's demands and handed him an undetermined amount of money.

Actor James Wood was inside the casino at the time of the robbery and witnessed the incident, The New York Post said.

'So we are playing poker at the @BellagioPoker and a guy walks up with a gun and robs the cage thirty feet from us ten minutes ago, ' he tweeted on Tuesday.

"@Bellagio staff were fantastic". "He is described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, between 5' 7" and 5' 9" tall, and weighing 160 to 170 pounds.

And while officers were soon on the scene, the suspect had already gotten away.

A person who was brought to the casino against his will has been cooperating with police, according to Capt. John Pelletier. Pelletier said, however, that it appears that person came "against his will", though he would not say whether the person was kidnapped. "Excellent staff, cool under pressure", Woods tweeted.

The vehicle has since been recovered, although the suspect remains at large.
