Harrison Ford Plays Real-Life Hero After Woman Crashes Car Off Highway

Witnesses say Ford was driving behind her when she lost control.

Ford immediately pulled over and rushed to the vehicle along with several other bystanders.

The 75-year-old actor, along with several other good samaritans, helped the woman get to safety before the paramedics arrived at the scene.

Ford has also been in his fair share of emergency situations including various crashes and near-crashes connected with his flying hobby over the years.

A Santa Paula Fire Department spokesperson said the driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The California Highway Patrol, the lead agency for the incident, is investigating the cause, Alonzo said.

It is not the first time life has imitated art for Ford, famous for his heroic roles as Indiana Jones and Han Solo in Star Wars.

In February, Ford flew directly above an American Airlines Boeing 737 commercial jet with 116 people on it, the Daily Mail reported.

Ford told Federal Aviation Administration officials he was distracted by a couple of jets at the time of the incident. TMZ reminded readers that, just two months ago, Ford chose to direct tunnel traffic in New York City. Ford was reportedly not involved in the crash.
