Chris Thompson Carted off Field vs. Saints Due to Leg Injury

The 385 yards are his most in any game this season. It was a surprising amount given up by a Saints defense that was dominant over the last month.

He escaped serious injury on the play.

The good news is Cousins, who took a big shot to the head on the play in question, was able to come back and throw a touchdown pass to extend the Redskins' lead to 24-13 (at the time).

Also inactive for the Saints are quarterback Taysom Hill, running back Jonathan Williams, center Cameron Tom, wide receiver Austin Carr and defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad.

The New Orleans Saints looked toast down 15 late in the fourth quarter, but Drew Brees orchestrated two touchdown drives in the final minutes to lead the team back against Washington and get a 34-31 win in overtime.

The field goal was set up by back-to-back completions to Ted Ginn and Michael Thomas that picked up 46 yards and assured that the end to Drew Brees' half was better than the start.

New Orleans brought a seven-game winning streak into Sunday's game.

After losing the toss for OT, the Saints forced a punt and drove 51 yards in three plays for the winning field goal.

Mark Ingram scored the only touchdown for the Saints in the first half, on a 36-yard run, tying the game at 10-10. Lattimore, the No. 11 pick in the 2017 NFL draft and one of the league's top rookies this season, tried to play again but had to leave the game.

It wasn't like anyone thought the Saints would win when Washington grabbed a 31-16 lead.
