The field trips go to areas of the St. Johns River Water Management District's Lake Apopka North Shore where we normally can not go, including getting to Lake Apopka's Clay Island observation tower by sunrise for the two sunrise photography and birding trips. The trip leaders include the famous Greg Miller and top Florida birder David Simpson, as well as local experts.
If you did not do the trips you were looking for a free event, no problem. The Saturday Lake Apopka Wildlife Festival and Birdapalooza is a free family-oriented event. Just show up between 9-4 (earlier is better) at Magnolia Park, 2929 South Binion Road, Apopka, FL 32703
For the current birding festival, I encourage you to register soon. To review the offerings go to www.orangeaudubonfl.org/birdapalooza. The registration link is prominent on the page.
Look forward to getting notice of your official registration and thanks so much for joining us. In this birding festival, Orange Audubon is trying to show our elected officials that birding really is an economic engine.
