Far Cry 5 trailer showcases the game's co-op

In the open-world game players can take on shared missions, take down enemies in fighter jets or even indulge in a spot of fishing with their friends.

Sony has unveiled a new trailer for Far Cry 5 at Paris Games Week, which highlights the co-op play for the story mode.

All of that, despite the fun havoc to be had, made Far Cry 4's co-op fairly unfulfilling and annoying to deal with. Now in Far Cry 5, Ubisoft is opening up co-op play for the entire campaign for the first time. At the end of the trailer, we get some shots showing real gameplay of what you can actually expect in the game. In Far Cry 5 the full campaign will be available in co-op mode. Will any of you be playing Far Cry 5 when it comes out?

The developer is also implementing additional features like voice-chat, ammo and health pack sharing, teleporting players together If someone wanders off, along with a friendly fire toggle that should keep everyone on their toes.

Far Cry 5 is set to release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on February 27, 2018. One of the early new features showed of the game was a buddy system, akin to companions in RPG's like Fallout or Dragon Age.

According to Ubisoft, players will be able to jump into blasting through Hope County with a friend immediately following the tutorial, with all experience and inventory items sans quest critical objects being kept after each session, though only the hosting player will retain their story progress.
