In a rare interview that Nupur Talwar had given from the jail almost two years back, Ms Talwar had spoken about her plans to work in the non-profit sector once she was released, whenever she was released.

Investigators then said the Talwars killed Aarushi in a fit of rage after finding her with the 45-year-old servant in an "objectionable position", suggesting that the double murder was an honour killing.

Twitter was abuzz with reactions after Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were acquitted in Aarushi and Hemraj murder case.

In 2013, the court convicted Aarushi's parents and sentenced the couple to life imprisonment. The body of the family's domestic help, Hemraj, who was initially suspected of her murder, was found in a pool of blood on the terrace of the flat the following day.

# The case was handed over to the CBI after the Noida police was criticized for a botched up investigation, leading to the loss of crucial forensic evidence.

This allegation by the police made the Talwars and their family members angry, and they accused the police of putting false charges just because they were not able to solve the murder case.
