Who's moron here? Trump teases Tillerson over IQ

A senior State Department official says Friday's meeting was last-minute and was related to the Middle East.

"American Mensa would be happy to hold a testing session for President Trump and Secretary Tillerson", said Charles Brown, the group's communications director.

Tom Friedman appeared on Morning Joe today, and he had some pointed words for Rex Tillerson following the latest news about why the secretary of state reportedly called President Trump a "moron".

Brown also said that Trump could potentially qualify for Mensa membership even if he bombed on his Mensa-issued IQ test, so long as he could provide evidence of exceptional test scores on other tests, including the LSAT, GMAT, and the Miller Analogies Test.

NBC News said Tillerson's "moron" comment followed a meeting on Afghanistan in which Trump compared "the decision-making process on troop levels to the renovation of a high-end NY restaurant".

Both Trump and Tillerson graduated from university with Bachelors of Science, majoring in economics and civil engineering respectively.

The "world's oldest worldwide IQ society" offered its services after the USA president responded to claims that Tillerson had called him a "f--ing moron". "And I can tell you who is going to win", he said.

"He was wasting his time", Trump said.

Tension has been simmering between the pair for some time over North Korea, with Trump's aggressive rhetoric at odds with Tillerson's more measured approach.

Tillerson and Defense Secretary Jim Mattis are scheduled to have lunch with Trump Tuesday.
