Sheriff investigating possible link between Colorado suspect, Delphi murders

Authorities have released a grainy cell phone image - taken by Liberty - of the main suspect in the case.
Police then used the picture to track down the vehicle, which they found parked outside Woodland Park Pawn and Loan Monday afternoon. They found the girls the next day, lifeless in a secluded area close to the bridge.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Kim Riley has responded, "the office investigates any and every lead brought to their attention, and this case is no exception".
Earlier this year, ISP released sketches of the man wanted in connection with the girls' deaths. Authorities say several tips linked this auto with a string of menacing complaints in the Mount Herman area and in Monument.

Watkins was found shot to death near Mt. Herman on September 17, 2017. "If that should change-with this tip, or any other tip-rest assured we would be sharing such news with all media sources".
'We're not that kind of people, ' he told officers, according to the arrest affidavit. German and Williams were dropped off near the Monon High Bridge Trail near Delphi, Indiana to go hiking but when a family member came to pick them up they weren't there. The suspect has been described as standing from 5-feet-6 to 5-10 and weighing between 180-220 pounds with reddish brown hair. He had been convicted in 2007 in SC.
Authorities will not say if Nations, 31, is a suspect in Watkins death, but there are new concerns about the man. Nations is a convicted sex offender.
Online court records indicate he agreed to plead guilty to domestic battery committed in the presence of a child in 2016 in Morgan County, Indiana. Nations checked in with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office until 2012. The Indiana Police said in a statement that they are investigating the tips just like they have with all of the tips they have received.
In July, more than five months after the teens were found murdered on February 14 in a wooded area near the Delphi Historic Trail in Carroll County, investigators released a composite sketch of a man believed to be connected to the killings.
