During the month of June, and for family reasons, it was impossible for me to go out on the field far from the city. In spite of this I was able to escape in several occasions to the park of Montjuic, in the center of Barcelona. It is a park located on a small hill, with a cliff that overlooks the sea and with abundant clumps of pine and ornamental. It is always possible to see interesting species, especially in migratory steps. This time I took advantage of the brand new camera (a Canon Powershot SX50 HS) and, thus, try it in a relaxed way. I show you some of the photos I made. They are not comparable to other better cameras, but depending on what occasions they may be useful. At first, the columbiformes were the easiest, but then there were several passerines, and finally, seagulls and even a peregrine falcon.
