Rocket League: Switch Exclusive Mario, Luigi Cars Revealed

The Mario themed cars are actually just one new type of auto, and players who use it will alternate between the Mario and Luigi versions, depending on what team they are placed on.

Two of the cars are Mario and Luigi themed, and aptly named the Mario NSR and the Luigi NSR.

Rocket League Switch Has Nintendo Cars!

If Mario cars are not your thing and you want something more mature and elegant for your Rocket League matches, Psyonix has you also hooked.

Of course the real star is the auto based on Samus' Gunship, which comes complete with some sci-fi wheels. Today Psyonix revealed three battlecars that will be available only in the Switch version, with themed vehicles for Mario, Luigi, and Samus' Gunship. Players will be hoping that RNG is on their side, however, as item unlocks in Rocket League are entirely random. The Samus vehicle even features a "Wave Beam" rocket boost that is exclusive to that auto. This comes in two variations based on different Varia suits and come with the "Wave Beam' specialised boost".

Outside of the new cars, the Switch version of Rocket League will also get new items in the form of Mario and Luigi hats for use on any non-licensed auto, as well as a Super Star rocket boost equippable only on the Mario NSR and Luigi NSR. Rocket League will support all of the Switch's play modes, included docked TV mode, tabletop mode, handheld mode, and will feature both online and local multiplayer.
