Star Wars Battlefront II: Starfighter Assault Gameplay Trailer

One example is the brief appearance of Kylo Ren's TIE Silencer which we are to see in the next movie, due this holiday season; Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The Battlefront sequel offered its own brand of hype Saturday though, debuting a new trailer that saw several different ships in battle while taking fans through all eras of Star Wars history.

We don't get to see Luke in action for long.

The trailer features the Starfighter Assault multiplayer mode, that will put players at the control of the powerful fighters of the series like X-Wing, TIE Fighters and more. There's also a very quick clip of Boba Fett's Slave-I starfighter making the rounds, but there's no telling exactly which side he's on (though it's a pretty fair bet he's going to be on the Empire's side).

Ahead of an expected official reveal at Gamescom 2017 next week, a trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront II has leaked.

After a quick look at Darth Maul flying his own ship, the video takes us to the research outpost on the aquatic planet Kamino. Space battles were notably absent upon the release of Star Wars Battlefront in 2015 before finally making their way into the game via DLC, and it looks like EA is rectifying that mistake by including large scale space battles from the prequel era and original trilogy.

This is basically the equivalent of the Assault Mode from Pandemic's Star Wars: Battlefront 2, where you played heroes and villains against each other, except it's created to take place in space or in aerial vehicles here.

A month after a new trailer went behind the scenes of Star Wars Battlefront 2, we have our first look at the mode which showcases the Millennium Falcon and, of course, plenty of lens flare.
