Liverpool end interest in Leipzig star Naby Keita

Hasenhutti has however confirmed that for next season at least, Keita will remain a part of his team, saying, "It's 100% clear that Naby will be staying with us and will be playing the season with Leipzig".

So far, Hassenhuttl has proved other clubs wrong as RB Leipzig secured Champions League football and led the German top-flight for three weeks over Bayern Munich during last season's Bundesliga.

He said: "That chance [of his leaving] is "null".

"At the beginning of the transfer window we said we'll start with the same team, and with all the main players we had previous year and that no one will go".

Liverpool have accepted RB Leipzig's unwillingness to sell Naby Keita and will wait until next summer to return for him, sources have told ESPN FC.

However, speaking after RB Leipzig's 1-0 loss to La Liga side Sevilla in the Emirates Cup clash in London, manager Hasenhuttl was asked about Liverpool's interest in Keita.

Hassenhuttl's young, exciting team has attracted many admirers and clubs wanting to poach their talent. They have all they want.
