Usher Sued for $10 Million for Allegedly Exposing Woman to Herpes

Comparatively, Usher only had to pay $1M to the woman he allegedly gave the virus to.

The Burn singer, 38, is named in a new $10 million lawsuit from a woman (filed under the name Jane Doe) who claimed he didn't tell her he has herpes prior to a pair of sexual trysts they shared three months back, TMZ reported Friday. She says there was some heavy petting, some kissing, and she performed oral sex on him. Twelve days later, she says they had intercourse once again, but this time without a condom. In her documents, the woman doesn't say if she's infected or not.

According to California state law, where Usher resides, it is illegal to knowingly or recklessly transmit an sexually transmitted disease (STD).

While the woman doesn't say she's been infected with the STD, she says she's concerned that she was "exposed" after reading headlines that he has Herpes Simplex 2.

Jane Doe didn't realize he had the condition until she learned of the news in recent reports where the singer settled a court case for $1.1 million.

The court documents, Radar Online said, disclosed he was "exposed to herpes" in 2009 or 2010.

Usher paid for the stylist's medical bills, a reported $2,754.40 in 2012 and settled the suit on December 28, 2012.

The victim claimed she "feels that her health and body have been ruined" and "has suffered severe emotional distress and has been extremely depressed knowing there is no cure".

She has not yet said whether she too was infected with the virus but stated had she known the singer was carrying the virus, she would have never engaged in sexual activities with him.
