Beyoncé reveals her newborn twins to the world in flamboyant picture

Beyonce has posted an elaborate photograph on social media to introduce her and husband Jay Z's newborn twins to the world.

Early this morning, Queen B posted a sweet picture on her Instagram of her dressed in colorful robes and holding her babies.

The photo has received more than two million likes on Instagram in less than an hour.

The birth of the couple's first baby, Blue Ivy, caused a paparazzi storm in 2012 with New York's Lenox Hill hospital shutting down part of its maternity wing to accommodate music's royal couple.

The image is strikingly similar to the photo Beyonce shared to announce her pregnancy in February. She wrote: "We would like to share our love and happiness". Held closely to her chest, wrapped in floral swaddling, are two small infants: Sir and Rumi. Like a Madonna, dressed in a long satin stole and a turquoise veil, which cascades on its ideal curves, Mrs. Carter holds her infants against her.

Besides it being their first public photo, Beyoncé's post was also the first time the names of her twins were officially confirmed. Perhaps since they were newborns, the diva chose to avoid any sort of limelight on her twins.

As well as the twins, a girl and a boy, she and Jay-Z are also parents to five-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.

Rumors have swirled about the twins' birth in recent weeks, but her representatives had declined comment.

United States mags broke the news of the babies' births last month.

In his album 4:44, Jay Z said Beyonce wanted to leave him after finding out about his infidelities but he begged her to stay while they were on vacation.
