The president Trump insult again a host of MSNBC on Twitter

Trump tweeted on Saturday morning: "I am extremely pleased to see that @CNN has finally been exposed as #FakeNews and garbage journalism". "This year, top White House staff members warned the National Enquirer was planning to publish a negative article about us unless we begged the President to have the story spiked".

He also reiterated his debunked voter fraud claims, writing, "Numerous states are refusing to give information to the very distinguished VOTER FRAUD PANEL".

The tweet, which seemingly encourages violence toward reporters, comes less than two months after Montana Republican Greg Gianforte was charged for assaulting Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs during Gianforte's congressional campaign. His description of Brzezinski, as "bleeding badly from a face-lift", is just another example of his contempt for women, and is totally inappropriate coming from the President himself.

Mr Trump took to Twitter this morning to fire off more insults at Brzezinski and her co-host, Joe Scarborough.

In a statement Friday morning, the Enquirer said, "At the beginning of June we accurately reported a story that recounted the relationship between Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, the truth of which is not in dispute".

Trump launched into an attack on Brzezinski and co-host Joe Scarborough on Thursday morning, calling them "Crazy Mika" and "Psycho Joe". After listening to the president-elect talk about his foreign-policy plans, Joe was asked by a disappointed Mr. Trump the next day if Mika could also visit Mar-a-Lago that night.

"The FAKE & FRAUDULENT NEWS MEDIA is working hard to convince Republicans and others I should not use social media - but remember, I won the 2016 election with interviews, speeches and social media".

Ms Brzezinski's employer MSNBC sprang to her defence, tweeting: "It's a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job". "I am shocked by something Donald Trump said". We believe if previous GOP presidents occasionally had given as good as they got, the national media might not be so quick to treat them unfairly. Around this time, Scarborough and Brzezinski found out the Enquirer was preparing a story about their affair.

"Really Mika, making fun of the size of his hands", Colbert said of the tweet.
