Van mounts curb, hits people on London Bridge

"It was horrendous", he said. "He hit about two people in front of me and then three behind".

"They've jumped out of the van and started stabbing people randomly". And then there were nearly hundreds of people coming inside.
"Around the corner there was a guy with a stab wound on his neck".
Similar attacks, in Berlin, Nice, Brussels and Paris, have been carried out by militants over the past couple of years.
London Bridge is closed both ways Transport for London (TfL) said, warning the public to avoid the area.
British police rushed to London Bridge after reports of a vehicle running down pedestrians.
The US national security team has briefed President Donald Trump on the situation and will continue to provide him with updates, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said.
One witness told Reuters that she saw what appeared to be three people with knife wounds and possibly their throats cut at London Bridge.
On March 22, Khalid Masood ploughed a rented auto into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge and stabbed a policeman to death before being shot dead.
Earlier, Trump retweeted the Drudge Report when it referred to "fears of a new terror attack", although the nature of the incidents had not yet been confirmed by authorities. CNN reports that there have been stabbings. "He was stabbing a man...he stabbed him about three times fairly calmly".
