Army Confirms Punitive Fire Assault On Pak Posts To Check Infiltration

To check infiltration across the Line of Control (LoC), Indian Army on Tuesday took punitive fire assaults on Pakistani bunkers. This is part of our counter-terror strategy.

Earlier today, the Indian Army formally revealed that it has destroyed Pakistani Army posts in J&K's Naushera sector. "Pakistani posts actively help infiltration", Major General Ashok Narula said. "An increase in infiltration activities is speculated due to the opening of passes and melting of snow (Baraf pighalne se aur passes ke khulne se infiltration ke badhne ki aashanka hai)", he added. "This calls for even more pro-active counter-terrorism operations", Narula said, referring to a usual pattern of increased militant activity in summer.

"Punitive fire assaults are being undertaken across the LoC".

"Pakistani locations were providing support to the terrorists". Where is the responsibility of our government to contain Pakistan by putting sufficient pressure in worldwide arena? India made its assault along the Nowshera sector in Rajouri.
