Moto Z2 Play will be thinner with a smaller battery

The sources claim it to be a 9-10 inch tablet falling in the premium category. It could very well be a Motorola device, and to be completely honest, that's what I hope it is.

Motorola is reportedly developing a new high-end Android tablet, that aims to woo buyers with the promise of improved productivity and multi-tasking features.

Not only that, the Motorola tablet will allow users to switch between home screen and apps in the system navigation bar.

The existence of this unnamed Motorola tablet was first reported by Android Police.

We praised the Moto Z Play for being a battery champion earlier this year. Granted, Motorola's Productivity mode could be an experimental feature on a prototype device that never sees the light of day, but it's intriguing to see manufacturers still thinking about tablets. To close an app, users will just need to long-press on an app icon and then slide it up away from the navbar.

If you're a Motorola fan and been holding onto that Xoom before updating, your wishes may be coming true with a new rumour emerging that Motorola is working on a new large screen tablet. It makes this supposed "Moto" tablet sound pretty interesting, but again, the Productivity Mode is all we know about. The slide indicates that users should be able to switch between those apps by tapping on their icons in the nav bar. Also, there are chances that one or more variants might come with cellular connectivity. And there's a dedicated App Drawer button on the navigation bar too.

Android Police has also shared a picture of what is supposedly the Productivity mode on this tablet. This really stinks since you probably won't get the few-days-of-use you get with the current Z Play with the Z2 Play, a phone that's naturally supposed to be better in every form and fashion.
