The Los Angeles Clippers lost Game 7 of their first round National Basketball Association playoff series to the Utah Jazz.
An injury to Blake Griffin didn't prevent the Clippers from seizing a 2-1 series lead against the Jazz. The story of this game was the fact that Rudy Gobert was in early foul trouble (played just 13 minutes). He's one of five players to make 200 or more 3-pointers in three or more consecutive seasons. Favors had 11 rebounds off the bench.
"And then you've slept too long or I'm bored out of my mind and now you got to try to pump yourself up for the game", he continued.
Utah has to know that to have any chance in this series, players other than Hayward are probably going to have to rise up offensively, because the Warriors historically have done a very good job keeping the versatile small forward under wraps with elite defenders such as Green and Andre Iguodala to guard him.
Favors was understandably proud of his contributions, but interestingly, put the credit to his teammates for the work they did earlier in the season. Boris Diaw had eight points, Hayward added six and Hill four as the Jazz had three three-point plays.
The Warriors averaged 103 points to Utah's 90.66 in the three games. Clippers center DeAndre Jordan had 24 points and 17 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the series. Jamal Crawford added 20 points and Chris Paul scored 13 points and handed out nine assists. Utah is the only team in the second round to pull off an upset as they were the lower seed in the first round.
Gordon Hayward (and his lovely hair) led Utah with 26 points and eight rebounds, while fan-favorite Joe Ingles finished with 12 points, five rebounds and four (!) steals.More news: Penguins' Crosby to miss Game 4 with concussion
As he shouldered the scoring load for much of the series, Paul accepted blame for the Clippers falling short.
"We've never been in the second round, so now that's another first", Snyder said. This will be a somewhat unpopular opinion amongst Clippers fans, especially considering they will get nothing in return for him to go to another team. "That means being the big being up in the ball screen". Me personally, I want to get out there because I want to beat the Clippers. "But for me, I've got to figure out ways to do that anyway".

Boston led by 15 at the end of the third before a 9-0 spurt by the Wizards to start the final period closed the gap.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Paul's 76 career playoff games and nine All-Star selections without a conference finals appearance are National Basketball Association records. Golden State went up against the 4th seed Jazz in the second round and lost 4-1.
The Jazz won three of four on the road in the opening round, including Game 7 in Los Angeles. Gordon Hayward is averaging 23.7 points and 7.3 rebounds while George Hill is averaging 16.9 points and 3.7 assists.
