Ubisoft Possibly Teasing A New Far Cry Game, Far Cry 5 Maybe?

The image was published along with a caption, in French, that translates to "an island that has never really left" according to Facebook's built-in translation service.

It also linked to a picture of Far Cry 3 villain and fan favourite, Vaas, accompanied by his most famous line of dialogue.

This could, of course, simply be a reference to people still holding Far Cry 3 in high regard.

If Ubisoft is going to announce a "new" game this will probably happen next month during E3.

In the meantime, why not watch Vaas torture Fogell in real life.

On its official Facebook page, Ubisoft France posted a piece of promotional artwork for Far Cry 3, the open-world first person shooter it released in 2012 to critical acclaim. It's a shame, because social media was aflame with excitement for the project, and it puts the future of the Far Cry series back into question. We've heard that 2017 won't see a mainline Far Cry or Assassin's Creed game, and we already saw The Ezio Collection as a kind of stopgap for Assassin's Creed fans.

However, there are others who thinks that it might not be a port but a remake or a remaster since that seems to be what the game developers love to do right now.
