After going 18-8-1 to finish the regular season, the Bruins officially dropped the interim tag from Bruce Cassidy's title and named him head coach.
It didn't look as if the Bruins were going to gain that playoff experience when they were 26-23-6 and fired head coach Claude Julien on February 7. He also played in the OHL, AHL and IHL, as well as in Italy and Germany.
The players made it clear where they stand on the issue.
The Bruins only have three unrestricted free agents (forwards Drew Stafford and Dominic Moore, and defenseman John-Michael Liles), but have to get contracts done with restricted free agent forwards David Pastrnak and Ryan Spooner. The 20-year-old winger exploded for 34 goals and 70 points in 75 games in 2016-17.
But they lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Senators.More news: Moto Z2 Play Makes Appearance With Its Slim Self
