Tad Cummins due in federal court Monday

He has been charged with transporting a minor across state lines for criminal sexual intercourse, according to Jack Smith, the acting USA attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee.
After more than a month, Bozeman was reunited with her sister Elizabeth on Friday. They say he left Tennessee at a time when he knew he was the subject fo an investigation about engaging in improper sexual behavior with a juvenile victim because he had been interviewed multiple times by officials about his involvement with the victim.
Cummins is still being held without bail at a Siskiyou County, California, jail while he awaits extradition back to Tennessee.
As Cummins was being arrested, he told authorities, "I'm glad this is over", Siskiyou County Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Gilley said at a news conference Thursday.
He is expected to appear in federal court in Sacramento, California, Monday.
The federal charge carries a 10 year minimum sentence and $250,000 fine if Cummins is convicted.
Both court filings come in the wake of the high-profile AMBER Alert for daughter Elizabeth, 15, who was found in California 38 days after disappearing from Tennessee with her former teacher, Tad Cummins, who is charged with kidnapping and transporting a minor for criminal sexual contact in the case.More news: Cards' Wainwright has HR, 4 RBIs in first win of season
Danielle Thomas, Elizabeth's sister-in-law, told News 2 she spent time with the 15-year-old at an undisclosed location where Thomas is staying for evaluation.
But her sister is "very happy" and pleased to eat food, drink coffee and shower. Quinn said. "What were you thinking?"
WTVF reports that under Tennessee law, children 12 and older can choose to leave home unlesss under "force, threat or fraud".
But instead of going to the beach, police said he picked up the student in Columbia, Tennessee, in his wife's vehicle on the morning of March 13 and headed west. Cummins is 50 years old.
The pair went missing in March from Tennessee and were not seen for six weeks - except for when they were captured on surveillance video at a Walmart in Oklahoma City.
The trail went cold until Cummins and Elizabeth were discovered last Thursday in Cecilville, in remote northern California near the OR state line. Cummins was being investigated at the time, after a student reported seeing him kiss the girl in a classroom.
