Moto X (2017) leak adds in a 4GB RAM variant

Live images of the Moto X (2017) model was leaked earlier this month, and many more rumors keep rolling out one after the other. We're expecting the Moto E4 to sport a 5-inch display, with either HD or FWVGA resolution. Although the smartphone maker has not announced anything about the handset yet, leaks and rumors surrounding Moto X 2017's specs, release date and price details have flooded the web.

Moto X Specs, Price and Release Date: Lenovo keeps climbing in its Moto series recently. It's predicted that the company might reveal as many as seven new smartphones including the Moto Z2, Moto Z2 Force, Moto X (2017), Moto C, Moto C Plus, Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus. It will have a metal unibody design, a 3.5mm audio jack, and speakers at the bottom side.

You can also just about make out a home button beneath the screen, which likely also houses a fingerprint scanner.

The alleged blue-coloured smartphone resembles Moto G5, however, there are some stark differences.

These images were discovered on Weibo and posted onto Slashleaks (via Ausdroid) and as you can see, they are pretty much similar to the previous leaks and renders.

TechRadar's take: The images look convincing and it's been leaked a couple of times, so this is the design we'd expect to see. Apparently, it spent a year ago in suspended animation while the Moto Z duo got air time. Under the hood, the Moto X 2017 might get a Snapdragon 625 chipset, 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage, and the higher end variant might come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. Now that the Lenovo device has been spotted on FCC and Geekbench websites, it's a matter of weeks before the company officially unveils the device. Moto X 2017 is said to have front-flash support. Though if it replaces the Moto Z Play in Motorola's line-up it could cost more like $449/£369 (around AU$625).
