Talking about the iPhone 8's 3D sensing capabilities Needham & Co. analyst Rajvindra Gill said, "While we note that a delay is possible we believe it is more likely that Apple will announce the iPhone 8 on time with shipments available in October / November".
Arcuri has long maintained that Wall Street's estimates for Apple's next iPhone are "way too low", accounting for projected sales of both new iPhones and the iPhone 7 series in September through December.
There is still a full five months before the expected big announcement from Apple. Apple will be setting a competitive price range, so a $1,000 smartphone appears to be more improbable, the report details.
The research arms of Barclays have also been indicating of such delayed projections and predictions regarding the launch of Apple iPhone 8. Now an analyst however claims that this new feature is unlikely to be ready in time, and could be pushed to the iPhone 8s. All those who have been waiting for the next version of iPhone, it's more likely that you are about to witness the iPhone 8, rather than the iPhone 7S.More news: Taylor Swift reportedly working on a new album
While DigiTimes report raises some question, an earlier report from Bloomberg had also hinted that Apple's suppliers will struggle to meet the demand for OLED panels.
The delay will not affect the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 7S models, the other two iPhone variants which are expected to be unveiled during the annual Apple event which happens during September. Seeing as how the majority of new reports appear to conflict on the design of iPhone 8, however, we can only wait and see at this point. This would make iPhone 8 look very similar to the iPhone 4s.
The upcoming iPhone 8 could become the first iPhone to lack a physical home button, if rumours are to be believed. Apple could move Touch ID to the back, but feels that this would not be "user friendly". But according to Apple insiders, the delay on the deliveries of the 5.8-inch model could reach several weeks.
