The Game of Thrones Season Seven Trailer Reveals One Very Important Detail

In the trailer, Daenerys finally claims her throne...just not the one most want her to.

As anticipation for Game of Thrones Season 7 builds up, the makers have today shared a teaser of the final season.

A new teaser for the seventh season of Game of Thrones was released on Thursday, and while it didn't give too much away, it gave some strong hints about the conflicts to come. Jon Snow having reclaimed Winterfell back from Ramsay is the third end of the triangle. To take the sting out of the wait a little, HBO have treated us to a brand new promo for the forthcoming season 7.

Game of Thrones season 7 premieres July 16 on HBO, in the US.

The new promo released for the penultimate season of the HBO fantasy series sees Cersei (Lena Heady), Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and Jon (Kit Harington) each taking a long, proud walk towards a throne. Throners are already hypothesising that she's in the previously unseen Throne Room at Dragonstone, the ancestral seat of House Targaryen in Westeros. All take a seat as "Sit Down" by James plays in the background.

As we zoom out from that, the shot blends into the odd, blue eye of the Night King, the leader of the White Walkers.

Just when the trailer seems like it will end quietly, Cersei lets out a deep breath, and it is clearly visible.

Earlier, the GoT's official Facebook page revealed that British singer Ed Sheeran will be a guest starring in Season 7.

They pointed out that in the reflection of the Night King's eye, there is a something which could resemble the top of the wall.
