Bilic would prefer West Ham owners not to make remarks

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has previously revealed that they were within hours of hiring the Spaniard two years ago before Real Madrid came in for the former Liverpool and Chelsea manager.

Nevertheless, Bilic supposedly still has the board's backing and ahead of the Hull game he said: "It doesn't worry me, I don't read about it, I'm not making phone calls or whatever". However, an optimistic Bilic is hopeful of having him back fit for either Wednesday night's clash with London rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium or the subsequent visit of Swansea City.

Bilic now has 15 months remaining on his contract at the London Stadium and has come under increasing pressure during recent weeks after the Hammers have failed to win their last five matches and are now on a run of three consecutive defeats.

SB: "Personally, my mind is clear and that I still are employed to do here".

"I am not bothered about this".

Bilic led West Ham into a seventh-place finish in his first season in the helm, however he's not yet been offered an extension on his present deal, which expires by the end of next season.

He added: "I have a good relationship with both of them". There's nothing new that I want to say about it, I just concentrate on my job and I am totally focused on our next game.

The speculation surrounding Bilic has intensified after three straight defeats, leaving the Croatian in desperate need of a positive result at Hull on Saturday. "I have a game on Saturday". We have a direct line and we talk. "Hopefully he is going to be back for us very soon, if it continues like this, which is great news for us, but the Hull game comes too early".
