In Trump's White House drama, Priebus is favorite target

One question from the four Democrats centers on whether those who are at the Trump club have gone through normal security and clearance procedures, including any foreign nationals who might be there.

In an embarrassment for Trump, who had campaigned for the White House on what he said were his skills as a dealmaker, the healthcare bill was pulled from the floor of the House of Representatives on Friday because it failed to draw enough support from within Trump's Republican Party. Here's a brief overview: on February 4-5, Trump and his wife headed to Mar-a-Lago for a Red Cross ball that was closed to the public; the following weekend, Trump hosted Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at Mar-a-Lago (and dealt with a North Korea missile crisis in full view of diners at the club).
According to an analysis by Politico, each of these holiday trips undertaken by Trump costs $3 million, and estimates suggest that his golfing trips alone may have already cost the taxpayer $36 million.

"He wants input, he wants buy-in, he wants people to feel like they're part of the process", said Katie Walsh, who worked alongside Priebus at the RNC and is now deputy chief of staff at the White House. Trump's lawyer pledged at a January 11 news conference to donate Trump Hotel profits from foreign governments to the Treasury.
They also stated that every time the President visits, flight schools, banner flying and sightseeing businesses get affected as a result, keeping Trump's security in mind. Figure in costs incurred by authorities in Florida and NY, the Pentagon and others, and costs related to the Trump sons' worldwide business trips, and we're well over $100 million a year.
ELIJAH CUMMINGS: Anybody can get a membership at the club for $200,000. Politico reported the resort doesn't require guests to submit details like a middle initial, birthdate or Social Security number - standard features for visitor logs.
White House legislative affairs director Marc Short also emerged from the Senate GOP lunch indicating the administration was moving on despite President Donald Trump's promises as a candidate to immediately get rid of Obama's law. It would also mandate the release of visitor logs at other locations where the president conducts business - for example, Mar-a-Lago, Trump's Florida resort that he has recently called the Southern White House.
"It's pretty obvious we were not able, in the House, to pass a replacement".
