Woody Harrelson Reveals His STAR WARS Character!

That's the timeline we've somehow lucked ourselves into, though, and the few details we've heard so far about next year's Han Solo movie all sound pretty exciting. (What a rascal.) "You'll also discover how he got his name", Iger added, presumably not referring to George Lucas dropping the "k" from "Hank" and calling it a day.

Iger has, of course, seen The Last Jedi - and played it down somewhat when he said it's "quite good".

He also confirmed they're not changing upcoming film The Last Jedi, despite the death of Carrie Fisher. To their credit, they moved quickly: it's now five years later, and they're already in production on their third Star Wars movie.

Well, at least now we've got more of an idea about what it's going to be about, now that Disney CEO Bob Iger has spilled the beans on some minor details of the Han Solo movie. Now, the first one we could assume, seeing as how Han's rescue of Chewbacca from Imperial slavery is long-established Star Wars lore, and it makes sense it would be included in this origin tale.

As much as I am a huge Star Wars fan, I will admit their movies can be very formulaic. In Rogue One, we had some digital character [s]. But Iger reportedly revealed that Disney is looking at what comes well beyond that, exploring "what could be another decade and a half of Star Wars stories".

In the eagerly-anticipated movie, Harrelson is set to appear as the titular character's mentor, Garris Shrike, while Hail Caesar's Alden Ehrenreich will fill Harrison Ford's shoes as Solo.

"He acquires a certain vehicle and meets a certain Wookiee", said Iger.

Iger was giving a talk at the University of Southern California and the discussion naturally touched on production of the as-yet-untitled "Young Han Solo" film now in production and starring Alden Ehrenreich and Woody Harrelson.
