The team announced on Friday that they have signed Mark Sanchez to a one-year contract.
Sanchez has moved to Chicago, telling Denver7 on Thursday night he has signed with the Bears.
So that leaves the Bears with quite an interesting group at QB.
But, there's no way in Hell the Bears are passing on a quarterback in the 2017 NFL Draft. Previous year in Dallas, rookie quarterback Dak Prescott credited Sanchez for helping him learn how to be a professional.
I doubt they draft a quarterback at No. 3, but I could see a day two QB pick.More news: House schedules vote on ObamaCare replacement bill
Adding Sanchez comes not long after the Bears made a big splash in the free agency market by landing quarterback Mike Glennon, the presumptive starter in Chicago for the entire 2017 season.
He spent the next two seasons with the Jets before having stints with the Broncos and Cowboys a year ago.
For the first time 2008, the Bears won't have Jay Cutler under center after releasing him earlier this month. The situation with all these Chicago Bears quarterbacks might not be a positive one for fans looking at the depth chart, but at least the Mark Sanchez contract is expected to be an affordable one when the front office makes the official announcement on Friday (March 24).
"Sanchez could help Glennon deal with the scrutiny and pressure of being a quarterback in a major market", he continued.
The Bears hold the third pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, and have plenty of their own needs.
