Syrian Missiles Fired upon Israeli Jets Broke The Equation

Syria's state news agency Sana said on Friday that Syrian forces had shot down one of four Israeli planes which had carried out overnight raids.
One missile was intercepted by Israel's Arrow missile defense battery, military officials said, in the first reported use of the advanced system.
The Israeli army denied the regime's claims, saying none of its jets were hit.
An Israeli drone strike reportedly killed a member of a Syrian pro-regime militia Sunday afternoon, amid spiraling tensions between Jerusalem and Damascus.
It is rare for Israel to admit to air strikes in Syria though there have been reports of at least four similar raids against Hezbollah weapons shipments since the start of December of a year ago.

Is this response from Syria justified, or did Israel have good reason for the airstrikes in the first place?
The Israeli Army confirmed it had conducted airstrikes on several targets in Syria, Israel National News reported.

Israeli jets have been hitting targets in Syria since at least 2013, when U.S. officials told CNN they believed IDF jets had struck inside Syrian territory.
The soldiers fired back, triggering an exchange of gunfire.
