How Iron Fist connects to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

When Danny returns to NY after years spent training with monks, disheveled and shoeless and claiming to be the heir to a vast fortune, nobody from his old life recognizes him, and he's dismissed repeatedly as insane.

It's kind of like the experience you'll have watching "Iron Fist". In all seriousness, we hope the snow will be melting over the weekend, but I'm not joking about the awesome options you'll have to watch on Netflix this weekend. He fights against the city's seedy criminal underbelly with his kung fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery "Iron Fist'". However, when a long-destined enemy rises in NY, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family's legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist. But you'll still have to sit through the six hours critics have seen, and there are entire series that do much more to reward that time investment than Iron Fist.

The best way for Marvel/Netflix to punch through that negative energy was to produce the best Iron First story possible for a live-action adaptation. You can even find a few of them on Netflix.

When Danny Rand (Finn Jones) shows up back in the NY in Netflix's "Iron Fist," he's been missing for some 15 years.

While the majority may not be on board with Marvel's latest series - now holding a 19% rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes - not all viewers agree with the critics' take on "Iron Fist". That explains where he's been, and why it took him so long to return to NY. "We're taking this stuff seriously", says Jones, who won't be sporting a superhero costume any time soon. Oh, and she does get condescended to by Danny, who has trained in an extra-dimensional dojo, so he knows far more about fighting and the philosophy behind it than Colleen-a paid professional!-ever could. As it is, these last seven episodes will now have a steep uphill battle to justify Danny Rand's place in that line-up alongside Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

K'un-Lun is the Home of the Immortals in the comics, as well as the Iron Fist, a power which passes from warrior to worthy warrior.

There are plenty of shows where this costume would go unnoticed.

Iron Fist Supposed To Be About? So far, the Marvel shows on Netflix have been massive hits.

Her co-conspirator in this case, Davos, is also drawn to killing Danny through personal means.

Harold's got his intern Kyle looking up everything he can on the Iron Fist - which amounts to a beer line and a clothing line, but nothing helpful. There has not been one decent review of the show yet.

Part of the problem with the trope is that it's quite patronising - in elevating the white saviour character above others, it strips the other characters of any agency and makes them passive within the narrative. All 13 episodes of the first season of Iron Fist are now on Netflix to stream.

Finn Jones is twice as hot as the other male leads in the Netflix's Marvel shows. Iron Fist will return to NY having just lost his home, and desperately seeking knowledge of the Hand's actions.
