As many of us are aware, Dodge is resurrecting the Demon nameplate. In the Challenger Demon's case, Dodge is using that phrase to explain how the Demon's Drag Mode uses the car's unique spring setup, adjustable dampers, and special software to help this supercharged muscle deliver flawless launches on command. "Inviting fans to attend the reveal of the all-new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon in NY is our way of saying, "thank you" for being a vital part of the Dodge and SRT community".
"The "old school" solution was pretty simple - get the quickest reacting springs up front, the softest rebound front shocks that wouldn't restrict the springs' reaction, remove any restrictions (sway bar) and increase the compression of the rear shocks", Dodge explained. In the next coming weeks, Dodge is set to reveal even more details surrounding the drag capabilities of the Demon. The result is that owners of the Demon will be able to launch their cars efficiently and in a more controllable manner. Created to be highly competent in all drive modes and configurations, the SRT Demon is made to absolutely dominate in Drag Mode. The key is a combination of a new suspension setup and the aforementioned drag mode, which results in a mechanical/electronic drag-race-specific suspension tuning that Dodge says is a first for a production vehicle.More news: Oil prices dip as United States dollar increases
