New Instagram update will upgrade your selfie game

Any second now, your Instagram feed will start filling up with people eagerly testing out the app's new album feature, which lets you combine up to 10 photos and videos into a single post.

The new functionality now lets users select up to 10 photos or videos for one post, a significant jump from the previous limit of one item.

An album post will be marked with a new icon that looks like a stack of photos when it shows up on your profile page. If you don't like the order of your images, tap and hold on the image you want to move, then drag it to the right spot. The entire post will have one caption.

This update comes with Instagram 10.9, released yesterday, but isn't yet available to all users. You can like and comment on them just like a regular post.

Yet on Wednesday, Instagram is beginning the global rollout of an iOS and Android app update that. With 10 pictures or videos, users wont feel quite the same amount of pressure to push the flawless picture.

The drudgery of uploading one photo at a time to Instagram has ended! According to TechCrunch's Josh Constine, your friends can swipe back and forth to view all the photos and videos.

Users will now have an option when posting a picture or video that says 'select multiple.' From there, you can choose your pictures and apply a filter to all of them or edit each individually. Don't forget to click on the video at the top of this story to see the new feature in action. Other Instagram users can simply decide whether to flick through all of them - just as they would one of your Facebook galleries (from one of your last awesome holidays).

Tap the plus icon at the bottom of the screen to upload a photo or video as you usually would.
