The actress - I think she's still an actress - told "Good Morning Britain" on Tuesday that, while preparing to fly out of London's Heathrow Airport to NY, she was stopped by security and asked to take her headscarf off.
While visiting Good Morning Britain, hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid asked the actress a series of questions about Islam, Trump's presidency and Lohan's experience reading the Quran. "(The agent) opened my passport and saw Lindsay Lohan and started apologizing but said, 'Take off your headscarf.'", Lohan said. "And I did, it's okay".
She met Turkey's President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on her trip to the country. "Taking control of my life", she added.
Lohan called the faith a "solace" and said she was studying other faiths as well.
The Mean Girls star was also grilled on whether she was planning to convert to Islam, after many months of speculation surrounding her religion. I just study it, nothing is confirmed yet.More news: ISRO scales 104 heights: How worldwide media reported it
Lohan couldn't speak to why she was stopped, but said "it was jarring" and that she had never been stopped before.
"I cried right away, right off the bat.", she explained on US talk show The View.
During an interview with Good Morning Britain this morning (February 21), Lohan recalled a recent incident at a security checkpoint during which she was stopped for her choice of dress. She's trying to draw attention to the crisis and, specifically, to the refugees who are suffering and to find ways to help the millions of people who've been displaced by the war. "So what's the point of picking on someone instead of seeing what they're capable - or not capable - of".
"It was odd", she said.
She went on: 'When I turned 30 I always aspired for this, I always said when I turn 30 that will be the defining moment of what I want to do. "What a dream it is for Mr. President Erdogan and The First Lady to invite me to their home", she captioned the pic.
