Blizzard throwing 20th anniversary Diablopalooza

Blizzard is set to introduce new stuff to Overwatch in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Diablo.

Some examples of the Diablo-themed goodies Blizzard has in store is an in-game spray in "Overwatch", representing Diablo III classes, a Diablo-themed worker portrait in "StarCraft 2", and battling a hooded stranger in the Tavern Brawl of "Hearthstone", Visit the Diablo 3 website for a list of more in-game events and goodies that Blizzard is offering.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of popular series, Blizzard will be giving Diablo-themed content to all of their fans. The event called The Darkening of Tristram lets players visit the Cathedral Dungeon from the original game. They can also pick up some familiar items.

When it came to Heroes of the Storm, players were thrilled to find out that the battle for the High Heavens will continue.

Anyway, you can enjoy the new events, features and lootables by hopping into the various Blizzard games and enjoying the new celebration content being rolled out over the course of the next month.

They are also planning to include a new Tavern Brawl into Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.

StarCraft II: Put the Lord of Terror to work for you with a Diablo-themed worker portrait. In World of Warcraft, it seems that there might be some new quests available as some characters from the Diablo world of Sanctuary arrive in Azeroth.

True to form, Blizzard remained coy about some of the details of its cross-franchise Diablo event, and only laid out the specifics for a handful of its franchises.

Unusual things are afoot in the world of Azeroth as denizens of Sanctuary cross over into an unfamiliar world. The game was one of Blizzard's earliest properties and quite rightly helped cement the developer's excellent reputation for sci-fi and fantasy RPGs. Reaper of Souls players will take part in a special event in the game. There will also be a new player icon modelled after the Lord of Terror.

The online collectible card game appears to be free from Diablo's influence at first sight. 20 years later and now "PK'ing" has become the whole point of MOBA games.
