SDCC 2016: First Trailer For WB's 'Wonder Woman'

Though not everyone loved the film, pretty much everyone did love Gal Gadot's spectacular take on Wonder Woman.

They will be followed by Shazam starring Dwayne Johnson in 2019 and will end with the release of a new Cyborg movie and a Green Lantern reboot in 2020.

In the nearly three-minute trailer, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman takes center stage in the superhero epic starring Chris Pine, Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen.

Scripted by Geoff Johns and Allan Heinberg, Wonder Woman will arrive in theaters nationwide on June 2nd, 2017.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins, and also stars Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright. But Comic-Con is a powerful force and can summon wonderful things and with that, we have the first official poster for Wonder Woman.

Explaining where she had got her inspiration to play the role of Wonder Woman, aka Diana Prince, the 31-year-old actress revealed she had watched a documentary on the late Princess Diana before filming began.

She told the audience: "Wonder Woman has the strength of a goddess and the heart of a human, she said she leads from her heart and not from her head, and I think the same is true of our Diana". Of course, Wayne still had to get that "I hear you talk to fish" line in upon meeting the King of the Seven Seas.

We see shots of Wonder Woman carrying a sword while wearing a ballgown, fighting on horseback, blocking bullets in the World War I trenches with her shield and wielding her golden lasso of truth.

This wasn't the only trailer Gadot and her iconic character starred in over the weekend however.

Oh, and they also released more Suicide Squad footage, and there's not that much new in there but we though we'd throw it in anyway because Suicide Squad looks awesome.

But Wonder Woman has her own trailer out as well, as she's finally given her own solo movie called, well, "Wonder Woman".
